The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves lost to the Giltner Hornets 67-64 in an exciting overtime battle in boys basketball Thursday, Feb. 2 at Giltner.

The score was tied 57-57 after regulation. The loss was aided by the Timberwolves committing 21 turnovers.

The Timberwolves jumped ahead 15-14 after the opening period, led 31-29 at halftime, and the score was 39-all going into the fourth quarter.

Exeter-Milligan made 5 of 11 three-point attempts and hit 11 of 16 from the line. The Timberwolves made 24 of 47 field goal attempts, while Giltner was 23 of 49 from the field. Giltner connected on 2 of 12 three-pointers and made 19 of 30 free throw attempts.

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves shot down the Hampton Hawks 65-40 in boys basketball Friday, Feb. 3 at Hampton. The Timberwolves shot 55 percent from the field in the contest.

The Timberwolves took the lead 014-7 after the first quarter, and margins of 19-10 and 19-9 in the second and third quarters boosted the lead to 52-26 going into the final period.

E-M connected on 2 of 6 three-point attempts and hit 5 of 11 from the line. The Timberwolves connected on 29 of 53 field goals, while Hampton was 16 of 45 from the field. Hampton made 1 of 9 three-point attempts and connected on 7 of 13 from the line.

Exeter-Milligan held a 35-19 edge on the boards.

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves rallied in the second half and then pulled away to shoot down the Parkview Christian Patriots 64-43 in boys basketball Thursday, Feb. 9 at Exeter in a win keyed by a 26-9 third-quarter run.

Exeter-Milligan (13-6) had trailed by one at halftime.

The Timberwolves trailed 11-9 after the first quarter, trailed 30-29 after the second period, and then led 55-39 after the third period.

Exeter-Milligan connected on 3 of 6 three-point attempts and hit 15 of 30 free throw attempts. The Timberwolves hit 23 of 47 from the field, while Parkview Christian was 15 of 53 from the field. Parkview Christian made 8 of 24 three-point tries and made 5 of 12 from the line.

Exeter-Milligan held a 40-21 edge on the boards.
