The BDS Eagles demolished the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders 65-21 in boys basketball Saturday, Dec. 10 at Nelson. The Eagles shot 51 percent from the field in the contest. BDS’s Ryan Tegtmeier recorded a triple-double scoring 11 points, passing for 11 assists and pulling down 11 rebounds while adding 2 steals to his team's 65-21 victory at Nelson. “The timely remarkable thing about this is he sat out quite a bit with a sore back,” said BDS Coach Fred Kluck. “He never played in the fourth quarter and sat quite a bit in the third quarter as well.” The Eagles jumped ahead 14-2 after the first quarter, led 33-10 at halftime, and then led 53-17 after the third quarter. The Eagles heated things up from three-point range, hitting 5 of 9 from long distance. “We passed the ball well and played pretty solid defense,” said Coach Kluck. The L-N season mark fell to 2-1. BDS is 5-0 on the year. BDS sank 4 of 12 free throw tries. The Eagles hit 23 of 45 field goal attempts, while L-N was 7 of 22 from the field. The Raiders connected on 1 of 1 free throw tries.
