Fillmore Central Falls At Milford

After falling victim to a first half blitz, the Fillmore Central Panthers were shut out by the Milford Eagles 33-0 in football action Friday, Sept. 30 at Milford.

“Our kids played hard and did a lot of good things throughout the game,” said Fillmore Central Coach Ryan Komenda. “We were in the right place but missed a lot of tackles which enabled their drives to continue.”

The Panthers fell behind 13-0 at the end of the first period, trailed 21-0 after the second period, and then trailed 27-0 after the third quarter.

Fillmore Central now stands at 0-5.

“Players of the game were: practice, Derek O’Connor and Kyle Bailey; scout, Trevor Adams and Hunter Kleinschmidt; courage, Kurt Karcher and Colin Monteforte; team, Kinser Gergen and Luke DeLong,” said Coach Komenda.

The next game for Fillmore Central will be against Fairbury at home on Oct. 7.
