E-M Track Team Has 3 CRC Champs

The Exeter-Milligan girls track team boasted three conference champions and the Timberwolf boys had one conference champion at the 2011 Crossroads Conference (CRC) Track and Field Championships on April 30.

The E-M girls finished third in the team standings in Osceola and the Timberwolf boys landed in eighth position at the 10-team meet.

Alicia Bigelow, Heather Pribyl, Taylor Erdkamp and Jennifer Pribyl combined to capture CRC gold in both the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter relay events. The winning 4 by 400-meter clocking was 4 minutes, 25.2 seconds and the 4 by 800-meter relay was won in 10:44.1.

Heather Pribyl also rolled to victory in the open mile with a time of 5:50.9. Jennifer Pribyl was second in the 800-meter run (2:27.1) and the 400-meter dash (62.6 seconds).

On the boys side, Timberwolf Austin Stride set a New School Record in winning the 400-meter dash on April 30 in a time of 52.1 seconds. The E-M speedster was also second in the 200-meter dash (23.9) and sixth in the 100-meter dash (12.0).

Teammate Nolan White earned four medals at the CRC Championships—placing sixth in the discus, shot put, long jump and triple jump.
