Hubert Medals At FC Invite

Fillmore Central landed in fourth place in the team standings at the 2011 FC Golf Invite, which took place last Monday, April 11, at the Hidden Hills Country Club in rural Geneva.

The Panthers were paced by Evan Hubert, who earned an 11th-place medal at the 11-team tournament with an 18-hole score of 91. The remaining top three scores for the FC varsity were Travis Waldron with a 104 and Sam Rickert and Zach Ekeler both carding rounds of 105.

The meet was won by defending Class C Champion Sutton whose top four players combined to fire a 326 in the windy conditions. Heartland was second with a 369 and David City landed in third position combining to shoot a 382. The Panthers combined to card a 405.


Exeter-Milligan was also at the invite on April 11. The Timberwolves combined to fire a 422, which landed them in ninth position. Brady Bristol and Preston Motis paced the E-M squad with rounds of 101.
