The City of Geneva and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce have joined forces in their effort toward community outreach.
The City and Chamber launched an open meeting forum to promote communication between the community, the City and the Chamber earlier this year.
Hosted by the City of Geneva and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, “Talk of the Town” monthly meetings provide an opportunity for the community to hear updates, ask questions and provide input regarding the City of Geneva and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce activities.
The meetings are scheduled from 9:30–10 a.m. on the last Friday of every month at the Geneva Senior Center.  The next meeting is scheduled for July 27. Anyone with an interest in our community is invited and encouraged to attend.
Another City and Chamber outreach initiative focuses on new residents to the community. Following the example of historical programs to provide welcome packets to new Geneva residents, several members of the Geneva Chamber donated discounts, coupons and promotional items to create Welcome Bags. The bags will be distributed to new residents via the City Offices.
Chamber members contributing to the welcome bags include:  A Little Inspiration, Cornerstone Bank, Cumberlands Fashions, Fillmore County Development Corporation, Fortify Group, Geneva City Offices, Geneva Floral, Geneva Home Center, Geneva Milling Company, Geneva Public Library, Geneva Senior Center, Geneva Welding, Heartland Bank, Lynch Financial, The Nebraska Signal, Nick’s Farm Store, Overtime Grill and Lounge, Studio 81, Waddell and Reed, Weaver Repair and York State Bank.
