BDS Defeats Nebraska Lutheran Knights 45-32

The BDS Eagles downed the Nebraska Lutheran Knights 45-32 in girls basketball Saturday, Feb. 12 at Waco in a win ignited by a strong first half.

Both sides were plagued by turnovers, with the Eagles turning it over 31 times, and the Knights committing 28 turnovers.

The Eagles led 12-4 after the opening period, led 22-8 at halftime, and then led 35-14 going into the final period.

BDS improved its season mark to 16-7.

BDS sank 1 of 5 three-pointers and made 10 of 21 free throw attempts. The Eagles connected on 16 of 53 field goal attempts, while Nebraska Lutheran was 11 of 34 from the field. Nebraska Lutheran connected on 1 of 9 three-point tries and hit 7 of 12 free throw attempts.

BDS held a 37-14 edge on the boards.
