Four defendants appeared in the Fillmore County District Court last month on different motions concerning their felony cases.
• Daniel L. Graham, 38, Milligan, currently incarcerated, accepted a written plea agreement.  Graham pleaded guilty to the amended complaints of attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a Class 3A felony; and attempted Terroristic Threats, a Class 4 felony.
Graham’s court-appointed attorney also noted his defendant has a possession charge pending in Thayer County. Graham will be sentenced in Fillmore County on Tuesday, May 8, at 11:15 a.m.
• John C. Garaas, 41, Grand Island, appeared with his attorney to enter a not-guilty plead to the four felony charges he has had pending since October of 2017.  Plea agreements have stalled in these cases.
Fillmore County District Court Judge Vicky Johnson set the cases for trial on June 20-21 and July 25-26.  Court will begin at 9 a.m., on these dates.
• Jaccob David Rose, 24, Geneva, incarcerated, was arraigned on the two felony counts he is charged with.  Rose entered a plead of not-guilty to both charges and Judge Johnson scheduled a pre-trial hearing and motion date for June 12, at 9:45 a.m.  Bond was also lowered to $10,000, 10 percent.
• Dustan A. Hallows, 24, currently incarcerated in Buffalo County, pleaded not-guilty to the more than a dozen burglary and theft charges made against him.  Judge Johnson scheduled a pre-trial hearing and motion date for June 12, at 9:45 a.m.
