Stock Our Shelves Program

The First Congregational United Church of Christ Mission and Outreach Committee and the United Methodist Church Outreach Committee are the sponsors of Stock Our Shelves (SOS), a Fillmore County hygiene pantry.
Items being collected for the pantry include paper towels, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper, women’s personal hygiene products and adult diapers.
As a service project, the Fillmore County Democrats organization is initiating a county-wide diaper drive for the hygiene pantry during October and November. Any diaper size, preemie to size 7, will be accepted. A child weighing 12 to 18 pounds (size 2 diapers) uses approximately 180 to 270 diapers per month.
The SOS items are distributed on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 9th and H Streets, Geneva.
The diapers or any other items for the hygiene pantry may be taken to the United Methodist Church or First Congregational UCC in Geneva. Inquire at your local church as to whether it is a collection location for the pantry.
For more information, contact Michelle Gowin of the United Methodist Church, Stuart Davis of First Congregational UCC, or Fillmore County Democrats members Liz Kaye-Skinner or Margaret Nichols.
