BDS Eagles Compete At E-M Invite

The Eagles track team made its way to McCool Jct. on Tuesday for the Exeter Milligan invitational track meet.  The girls finished in third place and the boys ended up in fourth in the 7 team meet.
The girls were led by Catherine Mick who finished her day with four medals, three of them gold.  She won the pole vault with a leap of10-9, the 300 hurdles in a time of 46.1 and the 100 hurdles in a time of 15.4.  She completed her day with a personal best time of 12.8 to take 2nd in the 100. Another 2nd place finish happened when the girls 3,200 relay squad made up of Lexi Kadel, Morgan Lowery, Haley Pena Lopez, and Kim Ardissono took home the silver.  A third 2nd was earned by Tristen Mosier who was the runner up in the pole vault, and Jadyn Kleinschmidt took two medals in the jumps finishing 2nd in the triple jump and 6th in the long jump.   Courtney Kamler took 4th in the pole vault as well.  Several athletes and teams took home 5th place finishes as the 400 relay team of Mashaya Dierking, Carely Elznic, Jadyn Kleinschmidt, and Kim Ardissono captured 5th, as did Miranda Elznic, Caitlin Mosier, Sera Johnson, and Megan Grote in the 1,600 relay.  Megan took 5th in the high jump and so did Mashaya in the 200.  Tara Lee Hudson was 5th in the shot put to finish off the girls scoring.  
The boys had a solid day as Thomas Mick took first in the pole vault with a leap of 12-9 to capture the teams only gold medal.  Chris Lichti followed that up with a 5th place finish and established a personal best by jumping 11-3.  Hunter Krehnke took home a pair of silvers with second place runs in the Hurdles.  The 400 relay team of Sam Christensen, Kale Kleinschmidt, Thomas Mick and Brandon Anderson were 3rd.  Kale then teamed up with Stuart Rohr, Brett Holtzen, and Caden Norder to finish 3rd in the 1,600 relay as well.  Kale completed his day with a 6th place run in the 200.  Thomas finished off his day with a 4th place in the 100, and Brandon took home 3rd in the triple jump too. Sam ran to a 3rd place finish in the 110 hurdles after earlier finishing 4th in the high jump.   The 3,200 relay team of Kale Smith, Brett Holtzen, Kamron Dickson,  and Josiah Kamler finished 4th, with Kamron adding a 4th place leap in the triple jump and Kale adding a 3rd place run in the 800 as well.  Taylor Anderson took home a 3rd place finish in the high jump and added a 6th in the long jump.  Stuart Rohr established a personal best with a 125-0 discus toss and took 4th place.  The JV boys 400 relay team of Chris Lichti, Josh Hinrichs, Isaac Kamler and Preston Sybrant completed the scoring by taking 5th in that event to complete the day.
