FC Hosts York, Central City In Triangular

Several Panthers had winning efforts on April 12, as Fillmore Central hosted track power York and Central City in a triangular in Geneva.
Leyton Hopken captured first in the 800-meter run last Tuesday with a clocking of 2 minutes, 9.81 seconds.  Panther Corey Maloley was golden in the 400-meter dash in 57.37 seconds. Nate Rasmussen soared 20-feet, .01-inches to win the long jump. Teammate Josh Taylor hit the tape first in the 100-meter dash in 11.29 seconds.
The Panther boys 400-meter relay squad of Rasmussen, Heath Boman, Christian Lovan and Taylor prevailed in the event in 45.44 seconds.  The FC boys 1,600-meter relay team of Ethan DeLong, Aaron Poppert, Chandler Schelkopf and Hopken also placed first with a clocking of 3:51.88.
Panther McKenzie Scheil was impressive in the sprints, winning the 100-meter dash in 13.31 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 28.51.  Scheil also placed second in the discus (107-4) and fourth in the shot put (36-2.5).
Panther Cori Knapp cleared 9-0 to win the pole vault.  The FC girls 400-meter relay squad won the event with a clocking of 55.87 seconds. Brandi Simacek was second in the long jump and Sierra Schrodt was second in the high jump.
