The Exeter-Milligan girls tuned up for D2-2 Sub-district play in Centennial with a pair of victories this past week.
The 16-4 Timberwolves, No. 7 in wildcard points in Class D-2, rolled past McCool Junction 61-35 last Tuesday in Exeter.  E-M shot 41 percent (22-for-53) from the floor in the triumph and converted 12-of-18 foul shots.
Marissa Howard laced in 23 points and snagged five rebounds for the Timberwolves.  The senior also tallied four assists and four steals.  Returning to action, Tara Mueller scored 15 points and grabbed four boards for the winners.  Sydney Hall scored 13 points and snagged six rebounds.
Hannah Beethe scored six points in the 26-point win and Samantha Horne added two points.  Both Alexis Uldrich and Kate Jansky made a free throw.  E-M was up 35-19 after the first half.
The Timberwolves defeated Cross County 33-19 in a low-scoring affair on Friday, February 12.  Hall paced the E-M offense with 10 points.  Mueller and Kelsey Bigelow both scored six points for the winners.  Howard netted five points and Beethe added three points.  Horne tossed in a bucket and Katherine White made a free throw.
The Timberwolves managed only a 33-percent performance (13-for-39) from the field on Friday.  They were also 43 percent (7-for-16) from the charity stripe.
