Behind medal performances by all four varsity members, Fillmore Central placed second in the boys' team race at the 2015 Southern Nebraska Conference (SNC) Cross Country Championships.  Panther Grace Jacobson also placed third in the girls' race on October 8 in David City.
The FC boys were paced by Adam Hoarty, who covered the 3.1 mile course in 18 minutes, 33 seconds for a fourth-place medal finish.  Teammate Garrett Whitley clipped the tape in 19:01 for 10th place and Chandler Schelkopf was 17 seconds behind for 12th.  Noah Temme took 14th place in a time of 19:28.  Cole Jividen finished in an impressive 18th position in 19:41 and Panther Ryan Poppert took 26th (20:26).
Milford rolled to the boys team championship, while FC outpointed Thayer Central 40-42 for second.  Superior was next with David City taking fifth in the eight-team meet.
"Five boys in the Top 20 is amazing," Panther coach Brandie Conway said.  "We were also conference runners-up for a second year in a row."
Wilber-Clatonia was the girls' team champions with Milford next, followed by TC.  Jacobson covered the 3.1-mile course in 22:23.  Panther Sophia Frook landed in 22nd place (25:41) and teammate Elise Frook placed 35th.
