Fillmore Co. Trap Conference Week 1

The Fillmore County Trap team began their conference season on March 21 at the Crooked Creek Gun Club near Aurora. Of the 250 total shooters, 48 were from the local team. The FC team consisted of 20 senior high division shooters and 28 junior high division shooters. The team is coached by Ron Schropfer and Chris Coash.
The day started off great with the team’s Juniors doing well. Kyle Broman and Carson Tatro tied for the top spot after they both nailed 47 rocks. After the shoot-off, Tatro took home the High Junior Male award and Broman took home the Junior Runner-up. High Junior Team also came from the local team of Kyle Broman, Jared Engle, Riley Hiatt, Brock Tatro and Carson Tatro after they hit 216 rocks.
Early morning proved to be a great start for Brevann Nun. Nun hit 48 rocks from the 16-yard line and took home the High Senior Male award after wining a shoot-off. During the afternoon handicap rounds, the success continued. Logan Peppard nailed 43 from the 18-19 yard line to take home that award. Nun won the 24-25 yard line after he hit 47 rocks. For his efforts, Nun also earned the top individual spot for the day, High Overall Male Champion after hitting a combined 95 rocks.

Team 1: Jacob Bespalec 47/39/86, Brevann Nun 48/47/95, Tyler O’Connor 44/42/86, Parker Trowbridge 38/41/79 and Wyatt Deepe 42/40/82. Total team scores: 219/209/428.
Team 2: Chris Lichti 42/38/80, Jesiah Rasmussen 40/41/81, Logan Peppard 38/43/81, Garrett Whitley 47/40/87 and Marissa Nun 44/40/84. Total team scores: 211/202/413.
Team 3: Jamey Broman 42/31/73, Chelsea Fessler 39/43/82, John Alfs 38/38/76, Tanner Nun 45/35/80 and Colton Jacobsen 44/38/82. Total Team Scores: 208/185/393
Team 4: Brianna Hafer 28/40/68, Baylee Howell 40/36/76, Gatlin Motis 41/37/78, Travien Motis 26/32/58 and Tanner Ourada 35/40/75. Total team scores: 170/185/355.
Junior high team scores were (50 rocks at 16 yards):

Team 2: Shane Fessler 35, Caleb Hendrickson 38, Lauryn Monteforte 35, Kaleb Scheil 36, and Tucker Stutzman 41. Total team 185.
Team 3: Gunner Gewecke 36, Conner Nun 35, Wyatt Nun 36, Austin Plock 37 and Trenton Srajhans 27. Total team 171.
