E-M Wins D2-2 Sub-district

Exeter-Milligan began D2-2 Sub-district play last week with a 62-26 whipping of Hampton at Sandy Creek.  The Timberwolves were up 42-17 at halftime over the Hawks.
E-M shot 52 percent in the contest (24-for-46) and were a pretty 6-for-10 from beyond the 3-point arc. Both Derek Luzum and Kyle Jensen tossed in 18 points in the blow-out to lead all scorers.
Dalton Zelenka added five points and Cameron White, Dusty Axline and Broc Mueller all scored four.  Sam Zeleny nailed a 3-pointer in the win and Trevor Luzum, Patrick Murphy and Brayden Olsen all added a bucket for E-M.
On Thursday, the Timberwolves blasted Lawrence/Nelson 58-38 to win the sub-district.  E-M led the final 31-14 at halftime on 43-percent shooting (18-for-41).  The Timberwolves owned a huge advantage in made free throws in the win, 17 to 4.
Jensen swished home a game-high 22 points in the triumph and D. Luzum netted 14.  Zeleny scored nine points against the Raiders. Mueller, Zelenka and Olsen all added three points for E-M, while Jarett Maxson and Axline scored two points.
The 18-6 Timberwolves faced Falls City Sacred Heart (19-5) in the D2-1 District final on Tuesday in Beatrice.
