E-M 2nd At CRC In York

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves hammered  Dorchester 59-26 in boys basketball Tuesday, January 27, at York in the first round of the Crossroads Conference (CRC) Tournament. The Timberwolves shot 53 percent from the field in the contest.
The contest was well-played, with the Timberwolves committing only 8 turnovers and the Longhorns committing only 7.
The Timberwolves jumped ahead 17-2 after the opening period, led 31-16 after the second quarter, and then led 44-18 after the third quarter.
Exeter-Milligan improved its season mark to 9-5.
Exeter-Milligan made 1 of 5 three-point attempts and hit 8 of 13 free throw tries. The Timberwolves hit 25 of 47 from the field, while Dorchester was 8 of 38 from the field. Dorchester hit 1 of 8 three-point tries and made 8 of 16 free throw tries.
Exeter-Milligan held a 42-12 edge on the boards.

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves topped the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles 56-52 in boys basketball Thursday, January 29 at York in the boys' semi-final contest of the 2015 CRC Tournament.
The Timberwolves jumped ahead 10-4 after the first quarter, led 22-19 after the second period, and then led 34-26 after the third quarter.
Exeter-Milligan improved its season mark to 10-5.
Exeter-Milligan made 0 of 5 three-point tries and connected on 22 of 37 from the line. The Timberwolves connected on 17 of 36 field goal attempts, while Bruning-Davenport/Shickley was 17 of 48 from the field. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley connected on 3 of 17 three-pointers and sank 15 of 21 free throw attempts.

On Friday, January 30, the E-M boys lost to undefeated High Plains in the CRC Tournament boys' finals 70-53.

Derek Luzum powered in 15 points in York in the final and Sam Zeleny added 13 points.  Kyle Jensen also tossed in a dozen in the contest, which saw the upset-minded Timberwolves up 30-28 at the break.  The Storm raged for a 29-9 third-period performance, though.

Broc Mueller scored seven for E-M and Trevor Luzum added three points.  Cameron White converted a bucket for the Timberwolves and Jarett Maxson added a free throw.
