Bruning-Davenport/Shickley had little answers for a speedy Bancroft-Rosalie offense, as the top-ranked Panthers racked up 302 yards of total offense in a 60-8 victory over the Eagles in the second round of the Nebraska State Class D-1 Football Play-offs.

Undefeated B-R was up 38-2 at the break. BDS, which ended its inaugural campaign with a 6-4 record, scored late in the contest with a Ryan Tegtmeier to Karson Novacek touchdown pass. Eagle Jose Gamboa also recorded a safety early in the game.

BDS was limited to 125 total yards and seven first downs in the road loss.

"We had a good bunch of kids to work with," said Eagle coach Mark Rotter of his team. "We had no chemistry or unity problems at all."

Seniors on the squad include Tanner Ahrens, William Mick, Jeremy Row, Tyler Lauenstein, Derek Swartzendruber, Conrad Sell and Gamboa.
