E-M VB 21-7 Entering Sub-district Action

Exeter-Milligan didn't allow an opportunity to pick up some valuable wildcard points get away, as the Timberwolves downed C-2, 17-10 Shelby/Rising City in three sets on Tuesday, October 28.  The 25-18, 25-19, 25-21 win improved E-M's season mark to 21-7 and have them sitting No. 5 in wildcard points in Class D-2.
"We played pretty well tonight," said Timberwolf coach Darcy White after the road win.  "Solid in all aspects of the game.   Need to clean up a few things, but all in all, happy with the result.  It’s a good win going into sub-districts."
Madison Horne and Amber Pribyl both thumped 10 kills each against the Huskies.  Hailey Luzum nailed seven kills and Marissa Howard added four terminations.  Sydney Hall added five kills.  Hall also posted 27 ace sets in the solid victory.  Howard also contributed two assists.
Pribyl busted three ace serves in the win and Luzum belted two.  Horne, Sam Horne and Ashley Benorden both recorded an ace serve.  Howard paced the Timberwolves with 10 digs.  Luzum tallied nine digs and both M. Horne and S. Horne recorded eight digs.
Pribyl posted three ace blocks and Howard notched one ace block.
The Timberwolves find themselves in a ridiculous tough sub-district, as No. 3 wildcard Meridian, 21-6, and No. 4 wildcard Hampton, 24-4, join E-M in the D2-2 Sub-district in Friend.  The Timberwolves open play on Monday, November 3, against the Hawks, while Meridian faces Dorchester on the other side.  The sub-district final is slated to begin at 8:30 p.m. on Monday in Friend.
