Eagles Blank OCA 50-0

In a game featuring a high-scoring first half, the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles blanked the Omaha Christian Academy Eagles 50-0 in a game where the Eagles held Omaha Christian Academy to only 98 total yards.
The win came in the first round of the NSAA State Class D-1 Football Playoffs on Thursday, October 30, at Bruning.
“Defensively we held OCA to 98 yards of total offense,” said Eagles co-head coach Mark Rotter. “Everyone that played recorded some defensive stat, a tackle, pass deflecton or an interception. Everyone contributed to the shut out.”
“Kale Kleinschmidt carried the ball nine times and averaged over 13 yards per carry,” said Coach Ardissono.
The Eagles jumped ahead 8-0 after the opening period, led 44-0 at halftime, and then held a lead of 50-0 going into the fourth quarter.
Eagles improved its season mark to 8-1.
The next game for Eagles will be against Bloomfield in the second round of the D-1  State Football playoffs this Wednesday night, November 5, in Shickley.
