E-M Improves To 15-1 On Year

Exeter-Milligan began play last week with a convincing win over Friend and then rolled past its opponents on Saturday to win the Nebraska Lutheran Volleyball Tournament title. With the four victories, the Timberwolves improve to 15-1 on the season and currently sit atop the wildcard points in Class D-1.

E-M blasted the Bulldogs on September 21, 25-8, 25-14, 25-10. Claire White pounded down 23 kills in the win and Heather Pribyl added eight terminations. Megan Zwickl smacked four kills and Caroline Harre added one.

Taylor Erdkamp tallied 16 assists for the winners and Kelsey Moore added 10 ace sets. Taylor Slezak recorded four assists and Zwickl added two. Jackie Luzum, Cassie Harre and Moore all slammed two ace serves in the match.

Cassie Harre also paced the E-M defense with a dozen digs and White added three ace blocks. Pribyl recorded two ace blocks against Friend.

The Timberwolves defeated Omaha St. Peter Claver 25-3, 25-11 on Saturday in Waco. Luzum thumped eight kills in the win and Zwickl added four. Jennifer Pribyl smacked four kills for the winners.

Erdkamp tallied 11 ace sets and Erica Yound notched five. Luzum nailed seven aces in the victory and Yound recorded five. Zwickl tallied a half dozen digs and Erdkamp had five. Kylie Briske laced down two ace serves for E-M.

The Timberwolves also defeated Nebraska Lutheran 25-18, 25-12, on Sept. 25.

H. Pribyl cracked 14 kills in the triumph and White added a half dozen terminations. Luzum drilled four kills.

Moore tallied 13 assists for the victors and Erdkamp added seven ace sets. Zwickl and Slezak both added a pair of assists against the Lady Knights. White snapped three ace serves for the Timberwolves and both Erdkamp and H. Pribyl added two ace serves.

White paced the defense with eight digs and two ace blocks. Erdkamp recorded seven digs and Cassie Harre had six. H. Pribyl added an ace block.

E-M also defeated Shelby/Rising City 25-15, 25-21 in Waco on Saturday. Luzum and H. Pribyl both nailed seven kills against S/RC, which sports a 9-4 record on the year. White and Zwickl both added a pair of terminations.

The Timberwolves travel to Gibbon on Tuesday to play in a triangular before heading to Tecumseh on Saturday to play in an invitational.
