Panther Lindsay Eichelberger fires to the plate during action in the York Softball Tournament Saturday morning in York. State-rated Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan swept its games on August 21 to begin its 2010 campaign 3-0. The Panthers defeated Crete 5-1; slipped past host York 5-4 and clobbered O’Neill 9-1. FC/E-M hosts its own tournament this Saturday at the Ball Complex in Geneva. The Panthers begin action on August 28 against Raymond Central at 10 a.m. on Field 2. Next, the home team will play Boone Central on Field 2. The third game of the day will be the marque match-up of the day, as the 3-0 Panthers will tangle with fellow state-rated Twin Rivers, who began its season 4-1. The first pitch is slated for 1:30 p.m.
