F.C. TeamMates Board Gathers

TeamMates of Fillmore Central gathered board members to establish a strategic plan and set a vision for their program. The vision for TeamMates of Fillmore Central is to serve 50 youth by August 2016 and mentors averaging 30 or more visits per year. Currently serving on the Fillmore Central TeamMates Board is Marti Jefferson, Linda Carroll, Bev Barthule, Val Poppert, Clark Poppert, Del Klover, Sandi Coon, Ben Kaye-Skinner, Vicki Lovegrove, and Paul Utemark.

TeamMates Executive Director Suzanne Hince and regional coordinator Allyson Horne were on hand to provide the training. “I am very excited about the vision for TeamMates of Fillmore Central. The chapter has great leadership and a strong commitment to youth,” said Hince.

The TeamMates Mentoring Program transforms lives by providing a team of experts to train, match and support mentors and mentees. Mentors meet one hour per week at the school and are asked to develop a friendship with youth by having lunch together, playing games, working on projects or just talking. Mentors help identify the natural strengths and talents of youth.
