He served his entire ministry in the state of Nebraska at parishes in Hampton, Aurora, Deshler, Cozad and Lincoln. Since his retirement in 2004, he has continued to serve as interim pastor in a number of parishes in this area.

Pastor Del was honored at a recognition dinner on June 4, during the Nebraska Synod Assembly in Grand Island. Attending along with Pastor Del and his wife, Deanna, were Kurt and Deb Klover, Dan, Kris, Brevann and Marissa Nun, Max and Sandy Lichti, Pastor Dick Woolard and Lonnie Kennel.

Prince of Peace congregation honored Pastor Del during worship on June 6, with a gift and with a slide show of his ministry during the fellowship hour following worship.
