Shickley High School Holds Graduation Ceremony

The 2010 Shickley High seniors marched in to the band’s traditional “Pomp and Circumstance” to start the graduation ceremony on May 16. The class motto, “The past is my heritage; the present-my responsibility; the future-my challenge.”

Pastor Dorothy Aspegren opened with prayer and gave the address “Ten Words to Remember.” Matt Koehler presented Dillon Deepe, Jennifer Mick, Matyson Kleinschmidt, Jacey Shipley and Christina Swartzendruber with a certificate honoring them as eighth grade graduates.

Luke Schweitzer followed with the salutatory address. The senior class showed the class video and the mixed chorus sang “Let There Be Peace On Earth” and “Hold On To Your Dream.”

Valedictorian Wade Walters then addressed the group. Guidance counselor Monica Noel announced the scholarships awarded. Superintendent Wieseman presented the seniors and board member Jamie Spurling presented the diplomas.
