Livestock production is extremely important to our local and state economy. As more people leave farms and ranches, they also leave behind the knowledge about production agriculture; therefore it is important for youths who complete animal projects to be properly educated on using good production practices to raise their livestock.

Recently, 26 4-H and FFA members participated in Youth Quality Assurance. This program is required for all youth who show livestock in order to remind them to use good production practices when raising their animals.

Brandy VanDeWalle, Extension educator taught the session.
