Joe Edgecombe of Panama City, Fla., took the opportunity to run his first 100K on February 18 at the Iron Horse Endurance Run. This was held on an old rail-trail near Palatka, Fla.

There were three consecutive races going at one time, a 50 mile, a 100K and a 100 mile. He chose the 100K, which is 62 miles, because he is 62.

When the results were in, he had covered 62 miles in 13 hours and 23 minutes. That placed him 10th o/a out of 45 runners in the 100K.

Joe is the son of Bette Edgecombe of Geneva.
