1st Outdoor Track Meet

Exeter-Milligan's Eric Olsen won three events at McCool Junction last Tuesday and finished second in another to pace the Timberwolf boys.  Teammate Peyton Brandt cleared 11-feet to win the pole vault.
Olsen dominated the sprints on March 20 winning the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes in 11.88 seconds and 23.96 seconds, respectively.  The E-M senior also won the high jump by clearing 5-10 and took second in the 400-meter dash in 56.09.
The Timberwolf girls won the 400-meter and 1,600-meter relays in McCool Junction.  Jaiden Papik struck gold in the 400-meter dash hitting the tape in 64.89 seconds.  Teammate Katherine White won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.94 seconds.  Timberwolf Tara Mueller heaved the shot 33-7 to win the shot put.  The E-M senior was also second in the discus with a toss of 90-6.
Members of the winning 1,600-meter girls relay team were Cammie Harrison, Kayla Geiger, Papik and Kate Jansky.  Running in the championship 400-meter relay for E-M were White, Geiger, Josie Kresak and Hannah Horne.
Additional top finishes on March 20 for the E-M boys included:  Casey Jindra, third in the 100-meter dash and the 300-meter hurdles; Joey Bartu, fourth in the 100-meter dash; Patrick Murphy, second in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles and the high jump; Brock Steuben, second in the 1,600-meter run, the 1,600-meter relay team of Clint Oldehoeft, Steuben, Max Zeleny and Mitchell Manning, second; 400-meter relay squad of Murphy, Jindra, Zeleny and Bartu, second; Jackson Beethe, third in high jump; Zeleny, third in shot put; Pribyl, third in discus; and Brandt, third in 110-meter hurdles.
Additional placing efforts for the Timberwolf girls in McCool Junction included:  White and Papik, second and third in 100-meter dash; Harrison, third in the 1,600-meter run; Papik, second in the 800-meter run; White, second in the 200-meter dash; Hannah Beethe, third in the high jump; Harrison, second in the 3,200-meter run; and Jansky, third in the 3,200-meter run.
