E-M Girls Roll Early In MUDECAS

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves shot down the Freeman Falcons 42-20 in girls basketball Tuesday, Jan 11 at Exeter in the first round of the MUDECAS “A” Tournament.

Exeter-Milligan kept its unbeaten record intact at 11-0.

The Timberwolves led 11-1 after the first quarter, led 20-5 at halftime, and then led 26-13 after the third quarter.

Exeter-Milligan sank 6 of 16 from the line. The Timberwolves sank 18 of 66 field goal attempts.

Exeter-Milligan had 29 rebounds.

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves rallied in the second half and then pulled away to beat the Sterling Jets 37-25 in girls basketball Thursday, Jan. 13 at Sterling in the second round game of the MUDECAS “A” Tournament.

Exeter-Milligan had trailed by one after the third quarter in a win capped by a 16-3 fourth-quarter surge.

Exeter-Milligan kept its unbeaten record intact at 12-0.

The Timberwolves jumped in front 8-7 after the opening period, trailed 16-10 at halftime, and then trailed 22-21 after the third quarter.

Exeter-Milligan made 3 of 12 three-pointers and connected on 12 of 27 free throw tries. The Timberwolves hit 11 of 46 field goal attempts. Sterling connected on 1 of 1 three-point tries and sank 6 of 8 free throw tries.
